Ayeska’s Senior Session in Wayland, MA


Ayeska’s senior session was the perfect mix of soft summer light, wildflowers, and a little bit of that dreamy golden-hour glow. We photographed her senior portraits in Wayland, Massachusetts, surrounded by tall grasses, greenery, and pops of pink flowers that worked so perfectly with her floral dress.


One of my favorite things about outdoor senior sessions is finding locations that give us plenty of variety without having to travel from spot to spot. This Wayland location gave us so much to work with, from the overgrown wildflower areas to open fields where the sun could peek through right at golden hour.


Ayeska chose a white floral dress with soft pink details, which could not have been a better fit for the setting. The colors tied in beautifully with the flowers without feeling overly coordinated, and the movement of the dress photographed so well among the tall grass. Natural Senior Pictures With Plenty of Variety


Senior photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed. Throughout Ayeska’s session, we mixed classic senior portraits with more relaxed poses, movement, sitting shots, close-ups, and playful images that showed more of her personality.

I’ll guide you through posing throughout your session, so you never have to show up already knowing what to do. We’ll make little adjustments to your hands, posture, movement, and where you’re looking while still keeping everything natural and comfortable. The goal is to create a senior gallery with plenty of variety while still making the photos feel like you.

And yes, we are absolutely taking advantage of the flowers when they look this good.


Golden Hour Senior Photos in Wayland, Massachusetts


Toward the end of Ayeska’s session, we moved into a more open section of the field just as the sun was getting lower. That gave us the warm backlighting and golden glow that I love incorporating into my outdoor senior photography whenever the weather cooperates.

Scheduling senior portraits around golden hour is one of the best ways to get that soft, flattering light you see throughout my portfolio. During the summer and early fall, Wayland and the surrounding MetroWest Massachusetts area have so many beautiful natural settings for senior pictures, especially if you love fields, flowers, tall grass, greenery, and a more romantic outdoor look.
